Not a good outing from Wake last night. Really taxed the bullpen. Atchison pitched well.
Rangers are a good team this year. 'Sox need to rebound tonight and get back into a good grove. Now is not the time for a slump.

Ok, ok. Wakie Wakie went bad bad. The game was apparently over in the first inning. We still have a lot of games left, so nobody panic. True, we do not need to start the second half like the first--in a slump.
ReplyDeleteThe good news is that people are healing and eventually, the team will be whole again. We're looking for a quality start tonight from Felix the Cat. Andre the Giant Wrecking Ball is back at third tonight, so that's helpful. Hopefully he won't have to be pulled from the game.
In other noteworthy news, the Rangers still have their eye on Mikey Lowell. Mikey's been hitting and taking grounders at Fenway. My good friend Jerry Remy speculated the other night that Mikey may not finish out the season with the Sox. Given that Andre the Giant missed last night's game and there was no Vic in the lineup to play first so Youk could slide over to third, Mikey's looking pretty good right now. (Has he every looked bad??)
