4 HR's and a good performance from Lester. Where would we be without Bill Hall who seems to play everwhere?
LHP Dustin Richardson is someone who could step in to fill the role that Okie has been filling.
Interesting piece in the Globe about Youk's response to Ells not being with the team. His absence has not played well with his teammates. Not sure what that means as to the club house atmosphere when Ells returns.

ReplyDeleteI've said it before, but I love Bill "Everyman" Hall. He's given new meaning to the term "utility" player. He's come through both offensively and defensively when we've needed it the most. Ok, Theo, I'll give you one good signing!
I'm not so sure Richardson is our guy out of the pen. He hasn't had enough big league experience. I feel like he plays through a lot of nerves. Unlike Bard, Richardson just doesn't have consistent big league miles under his belt. Will someone please explain the under-utilization of Scotty Atchison?? Tito, you're cutting your nose off to spite your face here!!
I know there's been some displeasure from the boys about Ells. I blame Bor-ass. Why any decent guy would hire that slime ball as their agent is beyond me!! Respectable people don't hob nob with gangsters. I think Ells has been shown the promised land by one Mr. Bor-ass and has decided to listen to his agent over reason. It's going to come back to bite you in the ass, Ells. Ask Tek. Tek lost $5 million because of that hustler.
Some other stray Sox include Vic and Mikey. Vic went home before heading to the All Star game. He's not expected back after the break like everyone thought. Damn thumb won't heal fast enough! Mikey's still in Miami, but the Globe said he should be back with the team after the break. Hmmm.....
