he has been steady at the plate. Has had to fill in at the leadoff spot due to Ells' prolonged absence. I have meant to blog about him earlier. Seems to me tha the could drop to the 9th spot when Ells returns.
Just checked the 'Sox prospects site. Ryan Kalish and Lars Anderson are hitting well. Perhaps they will make a strong case to make the team in 2011.
Petey received bad news today that his foot will require the full 6 weeks to heal, well beyond the 33 days since the injury was incurred. So, he has a few more weeks before he can return.

Scu, Scu, Scutaro (anyone else hear Phil Collins?) has done a great job in the leadoff spot. He's had a good year all the way around. That's why Theo went and got him from the Jays. I think Marco had a banner year last year with Toronto and everyone's living off last year, though. In spite of the errors (and there have been a number of them), he's come through in a big way for us.
ReplyDeleteWe all knew Pedey was pushing the envelope a little bit trying to get himself back quicker than anticipated. He's still not able to run without feeling any pain. If he doesn't let that break heal properly, he'll have to have surgery. We know he doesn't want that! From what NESN said, Pedey's on track in terms of the timetable that was set for his return when the injury happened. He must be driving the clubhouse crazy! Mrs. Pedey's probably looking forward to the next roadtrip!
