If his first injury was mis-diagnosed due to insufficient tests in April, then shame on the 'Sox medical staff for not adminstering the proper tests.
If the move to AZ was blessed by the 'Sox front office and Tito, then why are team mates having problems? Do they feel Ells is getting preferential treatment? They need to nip this issue in bud to prevent unnecessary rifts in the club house.
Having Boras as his agent does not help the situation.

I hate to say it, but the Sox have had a rash of misdiagnoses. Mikey Lowell's thumb comes to mind. I still think part of the misdiagnois was the fact that the FO rushed him back way before he was ready to return in an effort to help stop the bleeding that was happening in the first few weeks.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure was accounts for the rift between Ells and the team. There's probably way more to this story than is being told. I can't imagine that if things were on the up and up that the rest of the team (i.e. Youk) would begrudge Ells his proper therapy in order to recover. We don't know what Bor-ass has been up to, what's been said, etc.
The bigger question is whether Ells is here to stay or if he's going back to API. He said today in his interview with NESN (available on NESN.com for those of us who are cable challenged) that today was the first day he did baseball activities like throwing and running. If today was the first day, what the heck has he been doing at API all this time? Last time I checked, API is not Club Med. This whole thing is a bit fishy.
There's only one person to blame for all of this. It's not Ells, Tito or even Bor-ass. The guy who needs a beatin is Adrian Beltre!!
