That Petey is sure one gamer! You gotta love the guy.
Not sure I like the idea of Beltre playing in the All-Star game. Hopefully, he can play without hurting himself (or anyone else given his track record this year).
VMart does not seem has sure about things.
I am glad that they did not rush Buchholz back though I would have loved to have seen him in the All-Star game.

Yep, saw the report on the walking wounded. It sounds like everyone's healing up ok. I'm disappointed with Vic's progress, however, as I hoped he'd be back sooner. But what can you do? As we've learned from the Ellsbury Syndrome, rushing guys back ain't the thing to do.
ReplyDeleteOh, more drama from Girardi. Beltre's out, unbeknownst to him, then he's back in again. What the heck? I'm not too worried about Beltre. These guys only play an inning or two in the AS game, so he should be alright. The word's out, though--stay away from the "Wrecking Ball." Every outfielder's learned the golden rule: peel off if you see Beltre charging towards you!
I'm sitting here in Boston watching Big Papi crush balls in the Home Run Derby. The most important thing is not whether Papi wins the Derby, although that would be awesome! The most important thing is that he's WAY AHEAD of that punk, Nick Swisher!! (Can't stand him!)
It's nice to see our boys at the AS game, even though some of them can't play. They deserve to be there and they're doin' us proud!!
