The one thing I have to say about this year's team is that they never give up. Despite racking up a frightening level of injuries to key players, they have remained in the hunt. They are entering a critical point with the Yankees acquiring players like Kerry Wood and Lance Berkman. I will not be disappointed if Theo does not pull the trigger on a big trade.
Yet, something is in the works. Hermida has been DFA'd.
We'll see what happenes. I am sure that many of us will be checking the Globe throughout the evening.

The stress and uncertainty of Trade Deadline Day was too much for me. I took the day off academically. To pass the time, I took my Wakefield jersey to my artist cousin for framing. Currently, thanks to some rabbit ears and a coat hanger, I've got the Red Sox game on Baltimore's channel 54. Charm City's good for something after all.
ReplyDeleteHermida's been DFA'd. Ryan Kalish was called up and is in the lineup batting 8th. Word is that Dusty Richardson is also here. Ram-Ram's been traded to the Giants. Rumor is that Cameron's going to the DL. Reports indicate that Cam was wrapped in ice after last night's tear-jerker. No word on Mikey as of 4:20 pm.
I'm not happy about the Kerry Wood situation. Talk about letting the pitch go by, Theo!
