Lackey goes 8 innings...

Nice job despite an error on his part.  He gave the 'Sox quality innings and did not cause Tito to pull him early.  Nice lift from Mr. Lackey -- keep it up!  We need the same the time out.

    It's hard to believe we ever doubted Mr. Lackey! Well, he did give us reason to. But Awesome O'Clock is pitching like the John Lackey we expected to get when we signed him for zillons. So far, that's 3 solid pitching performances in a row from the rotation: Dice-K, Buch and Lackey. I'm a little worried about tonight. Beckett may be a bust.

    I know Awesome kicked himself hard for that error. He won't forgive the guys behind him when they mishandle a play, so he's probably very hard on himself. By the way, the hair thing doesn't apply to pitchers. Awesome's hair cut looks...well awesome!

    Nothing like a few wins to turn tide of the heretofore critical fans like me. I have to keep in mind that Pap cost Lackey 3 W's.
