Another un-inspiring Lackey performance

The way he is pitching of late, he'll be lucky to finish above .500 for the season.  One has to wonder if John Henry sits back asks himself "for this I committed $82M?" when sees the likes of Buchholz, Pap, Bard, Lester, and other home-grown pitching talent performing at high levels less the high salaries.  $82M buys alot of scouting and signing bonuses, and good coaches for developing young talent.

And, maybe he still isn't right from 2009?  He was only 11-8 last year and spent time on the DL.  Hmm, that would have been enough for me to look elsewhere.

Too bad clubs don't build in "out clauses" to these onerous guaranteed contracts if a player falls below certain performance standards.

At least he went 7 innings and didn't tax the bullpen too much.
