A big HR from a guy whose season has been one of frustration, uncertainty, and pain. He has always been a class act and now he is filling the void left by Youk's season-ending injury. Given all that he has been through this season, one cannot help but feel happy for this guy who is contributing in a big way.
Glad to see that Tito used Manny-D instead of Bard last night in a setup role.

What can be said about Mikey that hasn't been said already? The man's a baseball great! Every home run and every outstanding play at first is pure joy for the Lowellites. Every single time, the message to Theo is loud & clear: you're a jackass! Mikey has a huge following in Boston and the fans (this one in particular) know that there's nothing better than sweet revenge!
ReplyDeleteIt comes as no surprise that I'm totally against the Delgado signing. I'm not even entertaining the thought that the guy will even make it to Boston. If anyone's going to spot Mikey at first, it'll be Vic, or Lowrie at some point. Theo lacks any kind of credibility for signing at guy like Delgado--2 hip issues & 15 months off--after all the crap said about Mikey's hip issues. Theo has personal issues with Mikey. We don't know exactly what or why, but it's quite obvious he's doing everything he can to squeeze Mikey out. We all know Theo can't stand to be upstaged by anyone. That's why he's a jackass!
I'm sorry Youk's out for the season. He's one of our boys and I do like him, but I'm super happy Mikey's been given the chance to make the jackass GM wear egg!
