As we have blogged previously, Lester has become the real ace of the staff. An ace is that pitcher who is a "stopper", one who breaks a losing streaks, wins the big games, and rights the ship. Lester has been that this year.
Message to Theo: once you extricate the 'Sox from the Dice-K contract morass, lock up Buchholz to a long term deal, like you did for Lester, Petey, and Youk. Heck, you have squanders millions on free agents who have not panned out, why not show your commitment to home-grown talent?

Lester is a bona fide iron man. Not only did he pitch like the ace that he is, but he did it with an upset stomach! As someone who has the weakest stomach on the planet, I can't imagine how that man managed to pitch as rock solid of a game as he did with his stomach raging against him with every pitch!! My hat is completely off to this guy. If he bombs out the rest of the season, he still has my undying respect for his iron will!
