Taking a page from Mrs. Tom Brady, a good trivia question would be: which 'Sox players this year have not spent time on the DL?
I can think of: Drew, Scutaro, Hall, Lester, Wake, Pap, Bard -- did I miss anyone?

Now let's be honest here. Are we really THAT upset that Okie Dokie's on the DL? No, we are not. Rest assured, for the next 15 days, Okie cannot come into a game and cough up a ton of runs.
ReplyDeleteAdmittedly, this has not been the Year of Health. So far, Beltre, Big Papi, Atchison, and D-Mac have avoided the dreaded DL.
Good news for Tek. He's been without crutches and the boot for a week or so now. Yes, he's behind Pedey in recovering, but the injuries did not occur simultaneously, and Tek is not 20-something anymore.
Rumor has it that the Sox worked out Carlos Delgado at Yankee Stadium today. Another brilliant Theo move? Delgado is like 37, 38 and had hip surgery. Umm...we got a guy like that already. If this dude gets signed, please come with me to picket at Fenway and egg Theo's car. Rumor has it that Theo thinks this would be a good "platoon" situation at first with Mikey. Break the news to Vic that his first base days are over and explain platoon to Mikey. The fans were screaming for an Ortiz/Lowell DH platoon, but Egomaniac and his minions would have not of it.
Signing Carlos Delgado makes little sense to me. Lowrie can play 1B and has spent time there during spring training.
