  1. After looking at this list, it's hard to believe we're in second place in the AL East. The list of casualties is quite extensive. It makes me mad to see Jacoby's and Hermida's names. Those injuries were completely preventable. I'd rather see a ball drop between two players than the collisions these guys had with "Hot Dog" Beltre.

The news from the Sox this morning is that Vic's on the DL. Of course we all saw this coming. There's no way he can catch with his thumb out of whack. The good news is that 'ol "Fingertips" should be back behind the dish after the All Star break. Thank our lucky stars for Tek.

An interesting piece in the Globe this morning explains the rock bottom start for the Sox as simply a lack of chemistry that has taken this long to develop. Um..yeah. We were saying that months ago. The team and the media pooh-poohed fan insight and dismissed these accusations. But any good fan could recognize that it was going to take some time to develop chemistry and rhythm with new guys. The sense of panic from the fans was based on the fact that that chemistry tends to develop a bit quicker than it has this season. A word to the wise. Don't discount the fans' intuition. We watch the games and media reports with rabid obsession--ok, this fan does. But the fans know when it's workin and when it's not. Hopefully, it will keep workin the rest of the season.
