'Sox cannot afford to strand runners, 7 so far tonight, with the way Lackey is pitching. It seems to be a truism in baseball: you let a struggling starter off the hook and he gets stronger as the game goes on.
4-3 now. Lackey needs to shut down the A'S 1-2-3 and get his team back into the dugout. Time to bear down and earn that big money.
