9-4. Not bad for a pitcher whose name was frequently mentioned in trade rumors. He did not seem to be economic with his pitches last night. Good enough for the W though.
I see that Yankees and Rays are now tied for first place.
The 'Sox injury list creates some concern. It would be nice to get everyone back healthy again.

ReplyDeleteSo, it was a decent game. Arizona has a terrible road record, so this series is a wonderful opportunity to get our climb on! Now's the time to gain ground on those stinkin' Yanks and Rays. Hate them!
I was surprised by the Youk error! It was actually shocking! Of course, my most immediate reaction was "put Lowell in!" It happens to the best of them, although Youk consistently does not make those kinds of errors. His reaction was priceless!
Now, a word from our sponsors. Due to difficulties I cannot fathom, I was forced to listen to the Arizona feed on my dish last night and not NESN. I have to say that the AZ announcers are downright dull and from their comments, they've never been to the east coast. They were awed by everything they saw. Boston completely blew them away too. They were respectfully humble by their first day in New England. Can I please have my regular guys back on tonight?? I have my own day-to-day struggle with tourists. I don't need them on my baseball too!!
Rookie Felix Doubront gets the ball on Friday night for the big Mannyfest. Hope this kid doesn't get lit up. The offense will totally have to have his back!
