Manny happy returns?

I suspect that the Fenway faithful will give Manny a good ovation when
he returns this weekend.

After all, he was an important part of two WS championships.

Plus, he is not playing for the Yankees!

    I don't know about that. I bet he gets more boos than cheers.

    I tend to agree with Mrs. Tom Brady. Manny did not exactly leave on the best terms. I remember all of his stunts right up until he was traded. His comments after he was gone did not endear him to the fans either. How long after he was gone and J-Bay was turning in stellar performances did the "Manny who?" signs appear? Not too long, as I recall.

    What's up with all the reports from Ortiz saying he and Manny weren't that close after all? Is this just self-preservation for Ortiz? It seemed like these two guys were inseparable, but I suppose they are just like regular folks on a job. You can have a best buddy in your professional life that doesn't necessarily cross over into your personal life. Maybe this is the case with these two.
