Amazing!!

They started today a makeshift outfield of Hall, McDonald, and Nava.  The last 2 players were called up from AAA.  They have Beckett and Dice-K on the DL.  Lackey has been inconsistent.  Ellls is on the DL and may be joined by Drew.  Cameron's playing time has been limted.  Petey has not been hitting as well has he can.  Big Papi had a horrendous April.  Their bullpen has been shaky at times.  There has been a controversy surrounding playing time for Mikey Lowell.

Yet, despite  all this they are 1 GB today.

Lester and Buch have anchored the pitching staff.  Bard and Pap have held the pen together thus far.  But, they have to reduce their reliance on Bard.  Atchison could be the answer.

Wouldn't it be something if the 'Sox were healthy in the 2nd half of the season?

  1. This is the most profound post to date! It really makes you stop and think just what a motley crew we have right now. Has the same lineup played back to back games this season? Talk about being held together with duck tape!

I really like the way Atchison is pitching right now. As I've said, they have to utilize him more than they have been, but we still need help in the pen.

Hopefully, we'll emerge from the All Star break with a healthy, active roster!
