Bowden improving...could be source of relief

    Bowden in relief would be better than Bowden the Starter. As I recall from last season, he stepped in for some long relief when Smoltz got smoltzed. The fact that Bowden was being used as cannon fodder probably messed with his pitching. Perhaps a better role would be as a legitimate reliever out of the pen. He's worth a look, especially if our pen starts to run out of ink.
