I see that Jed Lowrie went 3 of 4 yesterday. Tito may need to stay with him for a few games. Wake pitched 2 innings yestereday.
1-7 is pretty bad. But, they will start hitting and the pitching should get better.

My philosophy has always been "if you produce, you can play." Jed has emphasized that he is producing in a lineup that has really not shown up. If I were Tito, I'd keep him in. This just in: Tito has chosen to ignore me yet again and start Scutaro against CC tonight. Um, Terry...there should be no issues with match ups. Jed's a switch hitter! He must have some pretty low numbers against CC to get the ax out of the lineup tonight.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting turn of events is that Tek will be catching Beckett tonight. God, finally!! If Linus needs his blanket, then that's the way it's gotta be. If this helps Beckett pitch a good game, by all means, go with it!!
I'll admit that my confidence is a little shaken in this team. After taking game 1 against the Yankees, I thought we'd finally hit our stride, but yesterday's performance has given me pause. I will NEVER lose the faith in this team, but the frustration level is amped up. We went through a similar fit-and-start last season too and then the bottom fell out of the barrel with injury after injury. I'm hoping for the best, but looking for answers here.
