Ranger Blues

Our beloved 'Sox leave Texas with its tail tucked between its legs, outhit and outpitched.  Now, on to Cleveland before hosting the Yankees in Fenway next weekend.

'Sox need that first W before hosting the Yankees.

  1. Well it certainly wasn't the opening we anticipated. Today, however, there were some positives that signaled the wheels haven't totally come off the cart. Yes, Buch gave up some homeruns, but he pitched pretty decently. There were 2 really excellent pick off attempts by our pitchers no less to impede a steal of second. Go Buch and Dennys. That's one way to stop the running game!! And, probably this biggest boost to morale was the Pap pitched himself out of trouble! That had to be a huge confidence builder for him after coming off a pretty lousy spring training.

Let's not blame our pitchers for the weak start. Where's the offense we've heard so much about? It takes more than pitching to win baseball games and our star-studded offense has yet to show up.

But fear not! We know this is not the beginning of the end. There are a ton of games to go and we know how to win. All will be well with this team.
