'Sox fans should "forgive and forget". Yes, he went to the "Evil Empire" and yes he took more money and/or an extra year to play with them. But, he gave it his all while in Boston. He was no Manny. Johnny, dear, we already said thank you for 2004...in 2004! The Nation owes you nothing. Wasn't it last year when he was with Detroit that he opted to sit out upon his return to Fenway because he had said he didn't want to play in Boston again? Or...something like that? We all know he was instrumental in 2004, but geez, get over it! I don't think the fans are zeroed in on the whole Damon thing. Thanks but no thanks, Johnny. We'll always look back with fondness, but trust me, we've moved on. Thanks.
