He could not even get out of the 4th inning yesterday. He and his mega-million contract was a big question on my list going into 2011.

I'm not jumping on the bandwagon that is already writing off the Sox after 2 games! The season's 48 hours old! It's SO not the time to hit the panick button!
ReplyDeleteAnd, I'm dissing our Mr. Lackey. I thought he started out pitching pretty well. He was throwing a lot of strikes, but he wasn't pounding the strike zone. It was not his decision to walk Josh Hamilton and pitch to Beltre, either. It's not fair to hang everything on Lackey. The bullpen's not exactly been stellar here.
We need one win to get the momentum rolling. Texas is a good team. AL champions last season, so this is not exactly the Washington Nationals. After today, we're headed to Cleveland and then to Fenway for some home cookin. Things will be ok. But after only 2 games am I ready to start trashing the team? Heck no!
