No longer a cellar dweller

Dice-K turns in another gem of start.  Great to see him pitching the way everyone had expected when 'Sox paid over $100M to sign him in 2007.  Along with Dice-K, Beckett and Lester have pitched well.  It would be great if Buchholz and Lackey can ride that wave.   Good 7 or 8 IPs from the starter keeps the bullpen fresh.

Nice to see Craw-fish turn in a 2-hit performance last night.  Ells is back to leading off and now has 5 SBs this season.  Good to see that Lowrie is still in the lineup and hitting well.

  1. Physically, I'm back on east coast time. Mentally, I'm still in the Pacific.

Don't we just feel like shouting?? Damn fine series we've got goin on!!! It's about time, right? Now we are seeing the Sox we heard so much about before Spring Training even started.

Dice-K!!! Can you believe this guy?? Is he finally turning into the pitcher we expected when we signed him? I'm pysched for this guy. Now he's "one of the boys." Beckett, Lester and him have done their parts. Now it's up to Awesome O'Clock this afternoon!! Hopefully Mr. Lackey can stick it to his old team and we'll sweep!

The next stop on the tour is Baltimore (still waiting to hear from Mrs. Brady on this.) I hope we come in to the "House that Buck Built" and kick ass!! (oops) After Showalter's comment at the tail end of Spring Training, a comment that some of us have not forgiven him for, it would be nice to punch the guy in the face by sweeping the Orioles on their home turf!! As predicted, they started off like gang busters and have since gone belly up. Do we know baseball or what?? Did we not anticipate this happening?? I did predict a second place finish for them behind the Sox, and I still think that's possible, but who can say for sure?

I hope our boy Carl has shaken off his jitters with his 2-hitter. You see, Carl, you are good enough to play in Boston. Go with the flow from here on out!!
