It is nice to see Ells coming around after such an injury-filled 2010 season. Eventually Crawfish should come around and start producing.

John Kruk, aka the man with no neck, said on WEEI that Crawfish's problem is more mental than mechanical. Well welcome to club, Kruk. We said that ages ago. We all know how difficult it is to play in Boston. I'm reading the new Tim Wakefield book and co-author Tony Mazz described Boston as a town that eats their own. Yeah...it's a tough town. Crawfish got a boo-coo contract and there is gigantic pressure on him to live up to that contract. So in a nutshell, he's freaking out!
ReplyDeleteEventually, after Crawfish has broken himself in, the pressure will subside. Until then, he's continue to stuggle because he feels like he has to be bigger than the contract. Let Crawfish be Crawfish. No lead off. Get your defense on in left. Hey, we'll even take a properly executed bunt, and, AND steals.
Don't worry, Carl. If you weren't worth it, Theo would never have come calling. Signing a dud would make Theo look too bad.
