Baseball - MLB - Boxscore - Rays v Red Sox - NESN.com

The guy cannot even give his team 3 good IPs. Sigh :( To think, 'Sox have him under contract for one more year. Baseball - MLB - Boxscore - Rays v Red Sox - NESN.com

  1. To say it was a highly disappointing outing is an understatement. If the Sox had a better record, one guy's implosion wouldn't seem like a big deal. However, with the state of the Sox, Dice-K's stinky performance was just another reason to sink further into depression. This whole thing was not supposed to happen to this team--not this year. Dice-K had a fairly decent spring, as did everyone else. If things continue on their present course, there will be some tough decisions to make. Since he has a no-trade clause in his contract, the only option is to send him down and get him to iron out the bugs. But even if he comes back, the lack of faith in him will be overwhelming. Honestly for what the Sox paid for this guy, they should've limited him to one year with options for further years pending performance.
