Despite not being able to hold a slim 1-run lead and reward Beckett with a "W", Okey pitched well and Craw-fish drove in the winning run. Nice way to win. Plus, 'Sox are now 3 GB.
Apparently, last night's ump called Aceves for two balks during this series. Last night's call pushed the runner into scoring postion.
Beckett seems to be back.

ReplyDeleteOur little Crawfish is starting to get himself in gear! I do find it bizarre that he would be tackled in the end zone of the infield after the victory. Way to use your head, fellow teammates! Injure your left fielder in celebrating!!
The umps for the Twins series were really a bunch or morons. They called a balk on Wake on Friday night! Seriously, Wake?? I watched the replay as much as anybody and I didn't see the movement they questioned. The man didn't step off the rubber nor alter his delivery. They said that on his fake to third he didn't follow through with the movement. In the words of John Lackey, "whatever!!"
