Craw-fish season?

Could Craw-fish have turned the corner for the season?  Let's hope that today's 4 for 4 showing will infuse him with confidence and comfort.

Have you all noticed that Salty is batting .240 now?  I watched him behind the plate the other night and he seems quite comfortable in catching Wake.   He is hitting for power lately.  Maybe he truly was a diamond in the rough?

Can't say enough about the job that Scott Achison is doing in relief since being called up from Pawtuckett.  When Jenks comes off the DL, I hope they send down Morales or Albers, recognizing that they both could be out of options and would have to clear waivers.   Of course, Bowden could be sent back down, too.

In short, Theo, keep Achison in Boston.

  1. Crawfish has turned into everybody's little boy. I don't know one Boston fan who's not rooting for this kid every single game. He was such a pain when he played for the Rays, but now he's our boy. He had a chance to hit for the cycle on Wednesday. Love this kid.

Ok, all of the talk about Boston's catching situation being...well, a situation, can shut their yappers. Both guys are doing extremely well. And Jarrod has really stepped up. So what if Beckett's the only guy not comfortable throwing to him?! If it ain't broke, don't tinker with it. I don't think Salty's losing any sleep over the fact that he can't catch Beckett. Let's let everything be and watch the two catchers do their thing.

I have been in love with Scott Atchison ever since last season. The "king of the dry hump" is finally getting into some games. I was so upset that he wasn't amongst the bull pen picks from spring training. I've said all season that they made a mistake with signing Albers. Nothing personal, but the guy stinks. Anyone who's spent any time around the Orioles can attest to his performance. On the other hand, "Cho-cho Charlie" has done extremely well. He's entitled to stay. I say get rid of Jenks and Albers; re-adjust 'Fredo's attitude; and keep Scotty.

But we all know that Theo has no eye for pitchers!
