    Talk about a kill joy!! Theo's just covering his bootay in case the Sox rocket fizzels out before it get off the launching pad. He doesn't want fingers pointed at him after making these "awesome" deals.

    No, we haven't played one game yet, but the fact that morale is way high from everyone--pitchers, position players--speaks volumes. That kind of attitude can lead to good things. Theo's not one of us. He doesn't wear any Red Sox gear and he's not a diehard like the players and the fans. He doesn't get it.

    I like the team spirit and self-confidence so long it is not "big talk" like we have seen from the New York Jets' coach Rex Ryan. High expectations are good so long as it translates into W's on the field.

    I got a bit concerned when the Globe writers were making comparison to the 1927 NY Yankees' "Murderers Row" lineup.

    I think these guys genuinely believe they're the bomb. And if it pumps them up for the start of the new season, there's no harm. Once we start playing games and start winning, all this talk is only going to get worse!! Bring it!!
