14-3?

Seems like the makings of another "Boston Masscre" weekend.  At least we have Lester going on Sunday.  Real a strong outing from him.

  2. I just read where Cameron and Ellsbury should return from the DL soon. D. McDonald has been productive. Wonder if he and Van Every will be sent down to Pawtuckett?

  3. I hope these two are keepers. Van proved his worth yesterday and D-Mac has been a great addition. In my opinion, Ells should go back to center and D-Mac should move to left. At Cam's age, I just don't know if he can still leg out those catches.

  4. At first, I saw the Cameron signing as yet another "bridge" to buy 'Sox some time until guys like Reddick, Kalish, Iglesias, and Anderson arrive at Fenway and can contribute. Recogizing that Cameron has had health issues, I see this as a potential "bust" signing.

I like the idea of Ellsbury to CF and D-mac in left.

  5. Cam's a good player, but CF is demanding. Ells is still young enough that the grind of the position won't hurt him. Cam's age is working against him out there. Ells has the potential to be a Gold Glove center fielder. D-Mac has also proven he can play. He made a great catch out there yesterday. Poor Bill Hall. He's a utility infielder and has no business in the outfield. They put Youk at there once or twice last year and that was also a joke. Watching Bill Hall is like watching Youk play the outfield: painful!

  6. The 'Sox farm system in recent years produced great pitching: Papelbon; Lester; Delcarmen; Bard; and, Buchholtz. Bowden still has some upside.

I am hoping the postional players (see http://www.soxprospects.com/index.html) can contribute soon so that Theo does not have to sign any more J.D. Drew-type players for big bugs.
