Miller, a tall LHP, could be a valuable addition to the 'Sox pitching staff. Not so sure about Lars Anderson who at one time was slated to be the 'Sox future 1B. Then, came Adrian Gonzales. If Anderson continues to impress, perhaps Cherington can deal him for some more pitching.

Miller pitched about 17 games for us last season. I wasn't impressed. This guy's got some command issues to work through and I don't think he's quite starting caliber. He's so tall and lanky. I think he's got to learn to fine tune his whole motion. He doesn't seem fluid to me.
ReplyDeleteLars is a hanger-on. There's nowhere for him to go in the Sox organization for the forseeable future. If something happens to Gonzo, Bobby V has a lot of options for 1st on the bench. If Lars has a good year in AAA, he's likely to be dealt.
