Given all the injuries in 2010, Hall was valuable. His $9.25M option is a bit rich.
Big Papi's $12.5M option is steep, too, given he is pretty much one-dimensional and his bat is not what it was a few years ago. At 35, giving him a multi-year deal is not a good idea.
