Reports that RHP Oswalt to Cardinals
As much as I would like to see another starter added to the roster, I am not disappointed with this news. Committing millions to a pitcher with a history of back problems would have been risky. After all, we have over $20M sitting on the shelf this season in the salaries of Lackey and Dice-K.

I'll believe this is for real afer MLB confirms. A NESN poll indicated that more Nation members prefer Edwin Jackson to Oswalt anyway. I've been harping on that guy since free agency opened up. It would be such a waste to let him get away. The Cardinals think they have a stakes winner in Oswalt, but it appears they're pretty comfortable to let a work horse get away. He'd be a good fit in Boston. Hey Ben & Jerry, SIGN JACKSON!!
