He has had 7 blown saves this year. Some of these blown saves were real meltdowns results in him giving up multiple runs.
With his 35 saves this year, he still a quality closer. But, he has that shoulder subluxation problem from 2006 that has probably kept the 'Sox from locking him up in long-term deal. With Bard's rise and other bullpen needs, maybe it is time to trade Pap while his market value is relatively good?
